Oh, man. We googled \tide pools near me\ and they said to go here...we had some fun before we got to the beach (see pics). So AWESOME!! We even went back. We had no negative tides while in the area but lots of stuff to see.

Beards Hollow TH is the most southern access to Long Beach there is. Just inside Cape Disappointment State Park is a short road off the loop road to the TH. As part of the Discovery Trail, it leads you thru lush coastal forest along a streamlet, past a large basalt monolith where you can walk a short user trail to the wide open beach. It is the very bottom of Long Beach where it confronts the cliffs leading to North Head. I think it's the most scenic part of the whole beach. Or you can stay on the Trail and continue north for miles going in and out of forest along the beach dunes.

A lovely place for a walk if you love the PNW ambiance! Lots of birds, frogs and other wildlife, easy to navigate trails for all ages with beach access; must see!

Enjoyed taking the family and pup on this nice, easy, flat and PAVED trail. Beautiful scenery including glimpses of the ocean and tiny off trails that you can take down to the beach. Couple of benches along the Discovery Trail to sit and enjoy the view. We went in late November, and only a couple of bicyclists were out enjoying the paved trail, so very quiet and serene. Wonderful place to take pictures of your sweet family. FYI, the restroom is only a outhouse situation there, so be forewarned. Can't go wrong with this trail, Highly recommend!

Interesting history. Saw lots of native plants. A bald eagle flew overhead, then landed and was eating something. Nice little walk out to the beach
