Not a good entry point for the JMT crowd. Some mild routefinding skills necessary away from the pass, but if you're heading off trail that's helpful. Easy access to Sixty Lakes Basin; you can get there with maybe 1/4 mile on JMT between Dollar Lake and Arrowhead Lake. Added bonus: cell reception on the east side intermittent and at the top of the pass. So be sure to have your phone in airplane mode from the trailhead!

Starts at approximately 6000 feet, so it can get hot during the summer. Zero issues for low clearance/two wheel drive vehicles. Also, Google Maps seems to want to take short cuts away from North Oak Creek road. Given how extraordinarily well graded N. Oak Creek Road is, leaving the road, which dead-ends at the trail head, is probably not a good plan.
