I had to get a cap on my tooth after a root canal. I went to a specialist for the root canal because the dentist at Chestnut hills didn't do root canals (thankfully). Getting the cap on my tooth hurt so much more than the root canal! The dentist didnt try to numb me at all before giving me the shot and when he did give me the shot he put it in my tongue. It numbed my tongue but it didn't numb the affected area enough to not make it hurt. A month later the cap broke, I did not go back to him to get it fixed.

I have had cleanings, cavity fillings, and a root canal done here. Dr. Vitalie’s work is exceptional! I have been to Pitt University-Dental for other work since then — on intake the student checking my teeth couldn’t discern the partial crown at first, and his instructor was so impressed with it, he called over two more instructors and another student to look at it. The doctors were all very impressed. I also have to mention that the entire staff at Chestnut Hills has been commendably sympathetic to my dental anxiety. I highly recommend it.

There is an obvious issue with office culture. Manager needs to step in and create a more synchronized organization. I had to order a retainer and no one can find it- it was supposed to be delivered on a Tuesday and was “guaranteed” that it will come in the following day... no call or update. I’m still waiting on Thursday. The only pro is that the people are knowledgeable and nice. I do appreciate the hygenists, office staff, and dentist. Unfortunately, I will be taking my dental needs elsewhere.

I went to Dr Vitale on the recommendation of a friend. I had been dealing with chronic headaches for years and when I described the symptoms and the frequency of my headaches she thought Dr Vitale could help. I was skeptical as I had been to numerous medical Dr's and was only prescribed prescription pill after prescription pill but never really diagnosed. Dr Vitale diagnosed and showed me the tests results of what he found, he explained what was happening and why, explained a few treatment plans and what I needed to do to fix this. I decided to go with a temporary plan initially to see what the results would be, everything happened exactly as he described and within a few months I was practically headache free!! I was quite surprised. We then moved on to discuss permanent treatment plans and I decided to have him fix it permanently. I am ecstatic with the results as it has been 12-14 years since that I've been dealing with chronic headaches and he finally was able determine the cause and fix it!! I cant say enough good things about his staff and how I was treated at Dr Vitale's office.
