Always a local treat to eat at the Tamale Place. We absolutely love going here. As the name implies, they are known for their tamales. But don’t let that dissuade you from the other menu items. The steak tacos and spicy chicken nachos are particularly good. Chips and salsa are also of very high quality. Prices here can seem quite high. For reference, a 2-person lunch including 5 tacos, small nachos, medium chips and salsa, and 2 drinks cost us approximately 46, but you are paying for very high quality food that is largely made from scratch in-house. You get what you pay for. This place is busy all the time, and for good reason.

Thought I would try 3 different tamales.... By myself... That's a mistakes. They are huge. You can share 3 but to eat these overstuffed tamales takes a big appetite. Quality is excellent and taste makes this a top two or three in my Top 100 tamale locations. Will definitely return.
let me paint you a picture. It's 1130 on a Tuesday, you're starving after a long morning of strenuous work. you enter a small corridor leading you to treasures unknown, the treasure... Tamales, some say God created Tamales on the 8th day, they clearly are referencing the tamale place. a friendly warm smell caresses your nostrils as you enter this sacred eatery, an inviting staff that makes you feel like you're the only customer in the world. once you've ordered and received your bountiful blessing of tamales, your taste buds will quickly enter realms of untold pleasures. 10/10 will always eat when in the area.

First time trying this place. I was impressed, got some poblano tamales to go. Little pricey but they aren't your regular size tamales! They were huge! And delicious
