Very friendly, English speaking staff. Let me try on several coats without issue. High quality &
Great Oktoberfest clothing. I bought a pair of lederhosen, 2 shirts, shoes, socks, hat with feather and a belt in 2002. They took very good care of me and helped me complete my outfit. 17 Years later and 33lbs lighter I am altering the lederhosen to fit my waist. Mens pants are much easier than womens to alter the waist.
I was merely asking the staff here what types of quality points they could give me and one of the workers therein said that everything here is made out of quality. And so they let me look around for my mother a Dirndl because they do not carry Lederhosen, shortly thereafter I was promptly escorted away because I was taking pictures of the dirndls and brands from which the dirndls come from to see and show my mother which patterns and the like she would like to purchase. As soon as the other worker (an older lady) saw me doing this she promptly became extremely stern that they do not want pictures taken and that I’ll need to go outside, I calmly explain to her that I’ll delete the pictures since she asked; even though I was confused as to why, to which the other worker came and became more stern because I was writing down the brands of the Dirndls so I could look them up later to remember. At which I became told that I was to go out of the store and go to one of the department stores if I was going to be looking at the brands. At which I promptly departed. I can definitely see why they wouldn’t want a lot of tourists just looking and not buying, considering it is close to the what I can see “tourist trap” of the Hofbräuhaus somewhat nearby. However the practice they do makes the business act like a monopoly by not allowing you to make informed decisions elsewhere in comparison to here. I can tell the quality of garments here is good and if you aren’t going to be showing anyone else who isn‘t there garments from there, then it‘d be a lovely place to shop and the workers would be lovely and caring, but I would suggest to avoid this shop in any other case. Have good times here and elsewhere!
A great store for serious shoppers looking for quality wares at matching prices. I've bought numerous items here and always appreciate their patience and help. This shop's location around the corner from Hofbräuhaus brings in a lot of frivolous tourist traffic, so they can be understandably short with those looking for cheap kitsch.
