First time and won't be the last. Rented the Kempton that slept 12. 7 kids 4 adults. Highly recommend downloading the Navonics app for navigating this large body of water. It shows you where the houseboat sites are and the main navigation routes. Able to communicate with Base with any problems or questions. They were very generous in compensating us with troubles we had with our refrigerator. The only trouble we had which was minor. Plan on coming back with just adults to really take advantage of the great fishing. Coming back with the grand kids also. The houseboat was very clean and disinfected when we arrived. Cannot say enough about the staff the dock boys. They loaded the firewood and bait that we ordered. They are very knowledgeable of the area and feel free to ask them questions in regards to fishing or campsites. The young man that gave me the rundown of the houseboatand and drove us out on the channel was on the high school fishing team and had taken several first places. Really great person very helpful and informative. Wish I could remember his name but you know who I'm talkin about. Thank him again for us. Plan on seeing you twice next year and for a longer period of time.

We had a amazing time on The Lady Of The Lake! Our boat was super clean and was well appointed with everything we needed. They did a wonderful job training us into driving the boat, and answered all our questions. The boat was easy to drive and we picked up on how the bouys work quickly. The employees are very friendly and did a great job in every aspect. The owners really went out of their way to insure we had a great job experience. This was our first time renting a houseboat and would highly recommend it and highly recommend Rainy Lake Houseboats, Thank you so much!

This was our 1st houseboat experience. The staff were great, the fishing was amazing, but the houseboat was very difficult to steer, especially in high waves and high wind, and not easy to \park\ and tie off at the camp sites. We would have liked to have more than just a few minutes of instruction on how to operate. When you arrive, be prepared that it can take a few hours to depart. Finding a parking spot, unloading your belongings, and waiting for your tutorial on the boat if they're really busy. They DO sanitize the boats completely between rentals; we watched them scrub and spray everything, so they are very thorough. The campsites for the houseboats are spread apart, isolated and very peaceful . We had an island all to ourselves. A great trip if you like to fish and enjoy peace and quiet.

On September 23, 2020 due to poor planning on my part, I ended up on Rainy Lake with not enough gas in my pontoon to make the 1 hour drive back to the boat landing or the nearest resort that sold gas! My wife and I, and my sister and brother in-law had stopped to try to figure out what we were going to do! At that point we were just drifting and not fishing. Thank God Kevin In a chase boat from Rainy lake House Boats was driving by and noticed that we looked like we needed help and stopped to ask if any thing was wrong. Kevin knew that a houseboat we had passed earlier had a extra 5 gal gas can on it and offered to give us the gas to get back. He tried to radio houseboat 32 to let them know we would be coming to get the gas. Kevin gave us his phone number just in case we didn’t catch them before running out of gas and said he would get it for us if necessary. We did catch the houseboat and the guys gladly helped us fuel up!! We had plenty of gas to make it to Island View Resort to fill up the pontoon. I want to Thank Kevin and Rainy Lake Houseboats for Going out of his way to help us!!
