Jim is one of the most knowledgeable guides you could ever have the opportunity to fish with. He is an excellent teacher, and is extremely patient with experienced clients, as well as the individual that wants to try fly fishing for the very first time. His techniques work phenomenally well, and catching a fish of a lifetime is always possible with Jim. If you’re looking for an awesome opportunity to learn from one of the best, I can’t recommend Jim enough. Good luck!

Although I’ve been fishing with Jim many times over the years, I want to share my very first fly fishing experience with him many years ago. There were many other fly fisherman on the river that day that weren’t catching a thing, while we were hooking up to fish all morning. As the day went on, every other person on the river was getting closer and closer to us, still not having any success. The next day, we went out to the same river and all of the same gentlemen, that were out the day before, we’re almost on top of each other fishing in the same hole we were at the day prior. So, we moved down the river and it was the same story, we were catching tons of fish while those guys weren’t hooking up to anything. Even if you went out on the river one time with Jim, outside of having an incredible experience with a true fly fishing expert, you would learn everything you needed to know and have that knowledge for the rest of your life.
