Great native plant nursery, the staff member that helped me was very knowledgeable and helpful. Plants were all of great quality and very reasonably priced. I bought a variety of flowering native plants to attract birds and pollinators to our garden. If you are ever in the market for native plants I highly recommend Malaleuca Nursery.

Melaleuca nursery is a rustic gem hidden in natural bushland a few hundred metres up Pearsall's Road from the Wonthaggi-Inverloch Road. Operating as a nursery since the late '70s, it's impressive brick entrance and long winding driveway take the traveller past a serene dam to an area overlooking the workings of the nursery and able to accommodate half a dozen cars. A swing gate leads through to the retail section where Australian plants are neatly grouped in well-marked areas. There is knowledgeable and helpful advice on plant selection from the proprietor. Although it is peaceful and quiet amongst the tall trees and bird-life, there was a steady stream of buyers while we were there. A charming place to visit and a great source of local plants.

I have come back here a few times over the years for larger scale plantings even though I live 50km away. Always great friendly advice, good home grown stock and competitive prices. Definitely worth the trip. Best nursery on the Bass Coast.

Really disappointed with these people. On their advice I planted a native supposed to be fine for Venus Bay. Out of 35 plants 3 remain. When I wrote asking what was the problem with them. No explanation was given . Never again
