Ours was a five star experience. We loved our dishes. We loved the atmosphere. We loved the friendly service. We’d love to return in the future. Highly recommended.

Great taste some dishes really amazing stand out was the Teppanyaki. Gyoza yummy. Didn’t like the calamari so much. Teriyaki chicken was nice.

Service was lovely. The food was fresh and piping hot but agree with other reviews that the food is a little on the salty side but we didn’t mind as we enjoyed the food with white rice. It’s very busy so make sure to book before coming (we only got a spot because of someone else’s cancelation). Came with the family. Maximum table sizes were 4

Excellent Japanese food. Ever reliable. Young staff in training were delightful. Inside can be a bit noisy but covered area at back worked perfectly.

I honestly don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I feel it would be unfair to not be honest about our experience at Tomo’s tonight. The food was so bland and amateur in its presentation and balance of flavours that I am being kind even giving it a 1 star. The sashimi was overloaded with ponzu, the sushi roll, dry and bland with minimal ingredients, the avocado seemingly to have been forgotten altogether. The apparent prawn dumplings(a folded wonton wrapper deep fried) tasted and visually appeared to be missing the prawn filling entirely. Our remaining dishes were just as lacking in presentation and flavour as our first few. The saving grace was Sapporo on tap. Save your money.. we paid 140 and walked away hungry and laughing at our experience. Sorry Tomo.. but much improvement required, especially during peak holiday season.

We booked this for a special occasion and it was really average. Very overpriced, small portions and just average tasting. We left after entrees (90 for 2 people for entrees and 2 drinks) and got a pub meal instead of spending more here.

All hot dishes are extremely salty. We complained, HOWEVER the feedback is that their dishes should be served with alcohol, we did not order drinks, so we should feel the dishes are salty. NEVER experience such arrogant service. Avoid this place if you just want to have a meal.

The food at Tomo's is fantastic. Best Japanese we have eaten anywhere.
