Literally a place out of a fairy tale. Right in the middle of the Great Glen Way trail. The food was great and the amazing cake was straight out of the oven. The coffee was really good too. There were some very well behaved animals on the premises. The owners were so nice and so Scottish they should be hailed as national treasures.

It’s sad that I’m writing my first ever review of anything and it’s negative, but we feel it’s important to share this as it didn’t feel right... Would not recommend this place to anyone - we first arrived and our orders got taken without seeing a menu or finding out any prices, we got a bowl of soup, a sandwich, slice of cake, apple juice and coffee and it came up to 28. Now this wasn’t some high end food or remotely worth that amount - cake and simplest of sandwiches with crisps on the side, the crazy part of it all is we never got told that it would cost so much, no prices or menu were offered, which would have changed our order entirely and for a eco-campsite & cafe to not provide any vegan friendly food options or non-dairy milk is also a real shame. Also we had our pictures taken without any consent - there was no questions asked just a quick iPad photo and the guy was gone - all felt abrasive and rude - I’m sure they will respond like they have to another review with a happy looking photo - far from the reality. The cafe is in a beautiful spot but very surprised with their claim that it is an eco-campsite and cafe. The campsite added an additional charge of 1 for using the card however on the bank statement it came off as 3 extra.
Amazing place offering one of the world's best coffees, served in the open amid a beautiful grove of lichen covered trees. Worth doing the GGW just for this. Julia you're a star.
Friendly, wild & simple campsite, perfectly located to break up that last, long stretch of the Great Glen Way.
Went for lunch, decided to camp, had dinner, and breakfast. Fabulous place, lovely people!
