Visited without booking totally won over by staff. All smiling helpful not replacement mechanics know their trade. All involved really understanding of my circumstances. Half an hour later fault fixed. Really made my day certainly will return for any further repairs. Definitely earned their 5 star rating. Well done mcconechys

I booked my Mother in Laws car in on the Wednesday to get four new tyres & was quoted 74.99 each fitted for Goodyears making a total cost of 299.96. The car was due in at 11:00 the following day & I arrived with it earlier than the appointment. I spoke to the two guys at reception, guys that I have known & bought tyres from before & told them I would leave the car with them & to phone me when it was ready & I would have it collected. Around half past 3 that day I tried to phone the site as I had not had a call. It rang out so I phoned my partner to ask her to & collect her Mother & the two of them could go to collect the car. They arrived at McConechys to find the car had not had the new tyres fitted so went into Reception to find out what the issue was. They were told that McConechy's had forgotten the car was there (despite it being parked outside & the appointment was in the diary). In fairness My partner & Mother in Law received an apology & were told that the car would have the new tyres fitted immediately. When the job was complete my partner was told that the Manager had taken an extra 5% off the bill for inconvenience but the new total was 301.33 which was more than I had been quoted the previous day. I am really disappointed as I & my family have used this garage many times over the last few years but I will definitely not be going back.
