Iola installed a new Takagi tankless hot water heater. From the start the unit made an unusual intermittent loud noise. I had 10 service calls for the problem over the span of one year, which the service tech could not resolve. After a year of problems I had numerous phone calls to Takagi and Iola Heating, the owner of Iola Heating came to the house to check on the problem. After less than a half hour of checking, he located the problem and fixed it. It was a venting issue on the exterior vent pipe. A simple fix to a aggravating problem which could have been taken care of sooner if they had just took the time to resolve it. They do good installation work but their service department may need further training and better follow up on service calls. As of June 1st, 2010 I understand that Iola Heating has closed the doors to their business. I wonder how I will get things fixed now?
