Sadly, I feel that the Suffolk food hall has been in decline over recent years, with the virtual disappearance of the fish counter and lower standards of customer service. I visited today, rather late in the day, just before closing although i did not know this at the time. But it was soon made quite clear... I looked at the chocolate counter, and instead of being greeted politely or simply advising that they were due to close imminently, they turned the counter lights off. We then went to look in the home area, we were acknowledged by staff who then they proceeded to turn off the lights while we were looking. Quite bizarre. While I fully appreciate it may have been the end of a hard day, it would have been nice for someone to have spoken to us or advised us at the time of entering that they were in the process of closing. Most stores do this. I am glad to say that the food hall continues to support local producers, and also benefits from an excellent location with great views of the river. But I really hope that they make improvements as they have so much going for them. Keep safe.

Lovely peacefull place to get out for an hour in the pandemic, sun shining, lovely food shop, where we brought delicious scotch eggs an salad an pasty, then to buy a lovely coffee an sit outside watching the world go by. Done our mentle health the world of good in these hard times. Thsnku x
Always enjoy my visits to the Food Hall. Enjoy buying local and the quality of there food is always guaranteed. You may pay more but if you can afford it m, its well worth it.
Good selection of local produce. Great service from all staff.
Love this place and always end up coming out with more than I went in for. A must if you're travelling this way ️
