Homeless shelters are better than this. We booked a higher price private room on the roof level, but it was in worse condition than the dorms downstairs. No locks on the doors! You must have your own padlock to close them! They couldn't provide one to buy or borrow. The bunk bed was falling apart, the bathroom had an ugly shower corner only, with no tiles just concrete floor, a toilet, but no basin. No hot water, but the lady said we don't even need that. Good to know! There was a window to close, but above the bed brick holes with no cover, which is a joke in this mosquito area. No air-conditioning, only a ventilator. Spider webs. We spent 5 minutes there, just to cancel our reservation. The lady at the reception was not even surprised. She spoke English and was quite friendly, thus the 1 star. Would give 0. Recommend Hospedaje Florentina instead. In a low quality city like Iquitos don't book under rating 9!

Honestly it tough to find a good place in Iquitos. The city is quite horrible. Motorcycle Taxis zoom by at a constant rate, everywhere, there's no escaping it. Stray dogs and cats all over the place and if you want to buy food to feed them don't get lost like I did and pick up a dying kitty that you unsuccessfully tried to nurse back to health. The beds are comfy for a hostel, the mattress sheet slides off easily but not a big deal the mattresses are clean and the noise from the city is aweful. Don't plan on sleeping past 6am even with ear plugs. The hostel is open air, so no windows, it's charming, I like the roof top. The hostel is clean. The breakfast is included and yummy and it's about a 12 minute walk to Karma Cafe where they serve the Ayahuasca dieta. Bring dog food with you if you want to help the strays. You have to limit your water consumption here, hopefully you don't shower everyday, water is a precious resource. The owner will give you tours to see actual sanctuaries and not zoos, plan on a full 3 days or so to do the Tapiche Reserve which he owns. Really genuine staff and owner. There are 3 cats that live in this hostel, they're super sweet.
Green Track was great! The hostal has a cozy atmosphere, is clean and the breakfast was good. Ana and Nicole were super helpful and they both truly care about the Amazon, sometimes not so easy to find in Iquitos. We went with their El Chino tour, a 3d/2n stay with a community within the jungle and we lived with the tour guide, Miguel. It was the best decision I ever made and I highly recommend! Thank you Ana, Miguel and Nicole!
Best hostel in Iquitos. Jammed with Erick, made a bunch of new friends. Rooftop lookout is great, security is good.
Awesome staff, Not very well maintained place. Shower did not have pressure so shower was about 30 minutes. Rooms are very spacious qnd there is storage. The staff knows of very cool places to visit in the jungle.
It is quite and well kept. Good reception and decent beds. Well equipped kitchen and always very clean.
The hostel itself is very very minimal, but it is eco friendly and staff are the best. The 5 stars is because this hostel is the gateway to tappiche reserve in the Amazon which is absolutely amazing.
Great staff, but suddenly there was nobody there when we wanted to pay. Cozy place with great kitchen though.
