Department of Biotechnology, established in 1999, offers UG and PG courses in general biotechnology. At present, the department offers four certificate courses to the UG students apart from the curriculum of Calicut University. Public effectively utilises the benefit of the department through various extension and consultancy activities offered by the department. These activities also enhance the social responsibility and creativity of the students. The department ensures a student-centric learning environment by adopting teaching techniques like ICT oriented classes, OHP, Each one teach one, Remedial coaching, Group discussion, Industrial visits, Assignment and seminars, Virtual lab and Wall magazine.
