No longer afraid of the dentist! I haven't seen one in over 3 years, and I've had this horrid fear of the dentist. As a teenager every single time I went to the dentist I was told I had cavities. Ick. But this did not happen at Cunning Dental Group. Let me tell you how magical it is there:

I went there for a periodontal cleaning. Instead of billing me for periodontal cleaning they submit a claim to my insurance company for root canal. When I ask them to submit the right claim, they tried to tell me that they won't change the claim even though it's for the wrong service. After constantly going back and forth they agree to change it to an extraction claim. The thing is I DIDN'T HAVE AN EXTRACTION. I tried to communicate with the clinic to find out why they are using a claim unrelated to my treatment. They refuse to answer the question. When they do respond it's always to say they are super busy during COVID. So I offered to make the claim myself and I would need the materials I need to submit my claim to the insurance company. They completely ignore me. I tried to sort this out with the insurance company and the clinic by having a conference call, but the clinic refuses to answer the phone. And I also think it's BS that they won't give you a copy of the x-ray that you paid for so you can't go to other doctors for a second opinion. They want you to pay them more for a copy of your own x-ray that you already paid for. I understand this is a business, but this place is certainly more business than a healthcare provider. Be very careful what they claim your insurance, your bill may not reflect the service you receive and you'll end up paying more.
My husband Eric received terrible service from Anna here... it has to do with their billing practice. I won't go into details because this is now a legal matter, but in short, Cunning Dental Group submit medical/procedure code to Eric's dental insurance company (Metlife and Guardian) for procedures that were NOT performed on my husband. They insist we pre-pay, so my husband acted in good faith and paid 3,000 up front. He is in a lot pain, too after getting procedure done here at Cunning Dental Group. They keep telling us we should talk to our insurance company, which we did, several times. The problem is whatever they submitted to the insurance company is incorrect or even fraudulent. Either their staff are not trained or they simply have billing fraud and abuse. We will investigate this. Despite of our effort trying to explain the situation to Anna, Christina and her colleagues, for some reasons they keep going in circles and ignoring us... Not only did this caused us financial burden during the pandemic, my husband is suffering tremendous pain. It is very difficult to receive dental treatment now because of coronavirus, so we are left really helpless. My in laws are physicians too so I do have a basic understanding of how proper billing practices and standards are. What Cunning Dental Group does here is simply unprofessional and unacceptable. We expect the owner or manager to get back to us immediately. This has been going on for almost a year. We refused to be harmed and taken advantage of like this.
The staff and doctor make you fell like you are at home . They take care of your needs and use the best materials. They are clean and organized. Doctors are honest . Would chose this place in a heart beat
(Minus) -5*, First of all it is purely a "BUSINESS" for them !! I am really disappointed even in this crucial time of Covid-19, I accompanied my friend ( who got Infection in her tooth or gum) we don't know but were worried and Dr.Tanaka did not bother to see why there was swelling, rather he was more interested in bridging the gap between other teeth which was not necessary, Totally Unacceptable !! I strongly request People to take action against such Doctors and to teach them the value of the "OATH" they took before coming to the profession, With these money making practices somewhere we are rapidly loosing Humanity from this world.
I was satisfied with the dental work done here. office is really upscale and their work does show it, BUT so does their price. Still, I would come back if I needed more work done.
They do great work and the multiple dental specialists give you great confidence in the different procedures from cleaning to prosthedontics.
I can’t say enough positive things about Drs and staff in Irvine ! They are professional, personable and really care about pt . Working with Cunning and staff is always a pleasant experience! They are great about working with pt busy schedule and they always follow up with sincerity and thoughtfulness after any procedures.
