Sia replaced my upper palate with cubic implants and also fixed implants that were done unprofessionally by another dentist. Sia has made my smile younger and more attractive than it actually was when I was younger. He is available, flexible, and always puts the needs of the patients first. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the "smile mills"

I am typically scared of the dentist but Dr. Abai was the first one to make me feel comfortable and he is such a nice guy, with great staff!! Gets the job done correctly. I recommend this doctor to anyone!! He takes the time on everything he does to make sure his patients have the beautiful smile they want and deserve!!! If I could give him more stars I would!!!!

Limited abilities. Argumentative and unethical. Hostile, threatening, and uncaring. He feels no duty or obligations toward patients in need citing conflicting policies (non existence) with the norm and widely adopted protocols in the industry. Highly questionable practice. It took more two weeks to make an appointment were he trys to size you up without looking at your teeth. He flip flops numerous time and criss cross you with no end insight. No staff to make an appointment with and prolonged and broken response time adds to your frustration with this so called care provider. His shortcomings, however significant translates into innuendos of policies, being busy and not taking new patients. Nothing but hideouts. It would be no surprise to have other reviewers go out of their ways to write on minor work and seldom appearance. It is unfortunate that a care professional waists your time rather than attending to your needs and honor the professional oath he took. Compelled to share this with the CA board.

Fantastic prosthodontist, extremely ethical, compassionate, caring, empathetic, greatly educated from multiple IVY League institutions and with a discerning eye for detail. I am a dental specialist myself so I'm highly critical with my dentists. Fortunately, I haven't needed to search for another since I found Dr Abai. While I lived in Washington DC I would still fly to Southern California for my dental appointments and he was/is worth the trip. It's one thing to have a good dentist but imagine how good your dentist's dentist would have to be. That's the practitioner you have in Dr Abai.

Exceptional dentist! Dr. Abai is hands down one of the kindest and most skilled dentists I have experienced. I first met Dr. Abai in Boston during his residency at Harvard. I was his patient at the dental school and I consider myself as one of the lucky ones to have found such a caring person. I had suffered for years from bad dentistry that resulted in my TMJ disorder. Dr. Abai was able to diagnose the cause of my TMJ and helped alleviate the pain. Over the years, I had further breakdown of my teeth and was placed in long term temporary teeth by another dentist. After losing touch with Dr. Abai because of his move back to California when he finished his residency, I reached out to him during a visit to my family in southern California. I was pleased to see that he practices the same high quality dentistry taught at Harvard and he accepted me as his patient once again. I now travel between Boston and Orange County for dental work and it's well worth it because finding a world class dentist who is competent and ethical isn't an easy task. Thank you Dr. Abai for your work, you are truly a master of your craft. JW

Dr. Abai is the nicest, kindest, most skilled dentist that I’ve ever met. I found out that after going to dental school at Columbia University, he went to Harvard and studied another 3 years to become an implant specialist — a “prosthodontist”. It is my understanding that out of about 200,000 dentists in the U.S., Dr. Abai is one of only about 3,500 dentists who has his level of training. I also found out that he has given numerous lectures at dental conferences. Very impressive.
