Dr. Gruenenfelder had me taking a drug for over 3 years, but she FAILED to mention that this drug is known to cause blindness. She told me she wanted me on this drug FOR LIFE. She never mentioned I should contact her if I noticed any changes in my vision. A different doctor of mine was the one who informed me of the dangerous side effects. They’re not printed on the printout that comes from the pharmacy, nor did the different pharmacists I consulted with ever mention it could ruin my vision. My eyesight is my most valuable sense. My prescribing doctor should have at least warned me to watch for any changes in my vision. And every time I’d see Dr. Gruenenfelder she’s in a bad mood. She’s the queen of attitude. She doesn’t introduce the other people in the room that shadow her, or even ask if it’s ok that they’re there. She really needs to work on her bedside manner. I always dreaded my follow up appointments. I’ve asked multiple times if I could try eating a certain food without it causing discomfort. She’d respond by always saying “I don’t know.” I’ve inquired if any alternative or holistic treatments or supplements could help with my condition—or at least help with pain. Again, all I’d get was “I don’t know,” and/or “there’s not enough research to back that up” if I found something on my own. Now I’m seeing commercials on tv for class action law firms that specialize in this drug because it’s so dangerous. I’m now completely off this medication and I’m healing myself with holistic natural medicine. Dr. Jennifer Gruenenfelder led me to believe that I’d be on this dangerous, expensive speciality drug forever. She also told me the cause of my disease isn’t known. That’s also incorrect. I dug deep enough and found a ton of information on the cause of my painful bladder condition. Do your research. Don’t place your trust in these puppets who work for Big Pharma.

I have yet to have my appointment but I am disgusted at the horrible service and next to impossible efforts made to connect with patients due to there process/phones/ receptionist. I called on a Thursday got no answer after 40 min. Left my name in the queue by Monday afternoon no one had returned my call I am guessing this is a lie there is not queue it is a way to get you to stop holding. When i called back waited 45 minutes a rude receptionist answered she did not care or apologize was uncaring and said that is what happens to everyone. to leave people who have medical needs or pain in limbo for this long is truly inhumane and cruel. HOAG take action!!! Clearly they have accepted that this is how they run the place. I personally blame hoag and my GP for sending me there. This place should be shut down it gives HOAG and my personal DR a bad name and reputation. Do better hoag be better than this.

Dr. Tebyani has been my urologist for over 6 years. He is an outstanding doctor and individual. From the very beginning, Dr. Tebyani was right on the money when he diagnosed me with non-invasive, bladder cancer. The office personnel are caring, smart and extremely patient people.

I had a recent procedure with one of the physicians at the Orange County Urology Associates. I am not commenting on the physician but the office. It is next to impossible to get through their answering system. They do not call you back. I have had an extremely hard time figuring out my medication orders as there are inconsistencies. A week after my procedure and I am still unsure about what medication I need to take. They seem so busy that they simply don't care. I have never experienced such an inhumane treatment.

Summary: long phone hold to make appointment, long wait in exam room, medication delay. Details: The first time I called to make an appointment, I was on hold over 4 minutes so I left my number for them to call me by end of day the next day. They didn’t call. The second time I called, I waited over 5 minutes. The day of my appointment, which was in the morning on a Friday, I waited in the exam room for over 30 minutes. The doctor said he would order a prescription for me. On Sunday, I hadn’t heard from the pharmacy, so I called. The pharmacy didn’t get the medication order. I called the doctor’s office on Monday; the nurse apologized and told me the doctor had forgotten. It wasn’t until the following Friday, one week after my office visit, that the doctor ordered the medicine.
