unfortunately, the reputation of being an excellent Surgeon doesn't allow him time to meet with perspective patients who are suffering...his office staff rudely advised that I seek other services first including \pain Management\...and noted other \lower standing- sports medicine\ doctor in the group, which by the way, I have already seen and not worth the Diploma on the wall... Perhaps Dr. Barnett needs to remember when he was just that not so popular doctor that loved the true purpose of why he became a \doctor\ - to help people that are suffering & in pain Good luck trying to get an appointment unless your limbs are hanging off or a famous \Sports\ figure

Dr Barnett is an Excellent Orthopedic Surgeon and we would Highly Recommend him for Knee & Hip replacement and we have. A friend's husband went to him for hip replacements and is very happy thanking us for recommending Dr Barnett every time we see him! My husband had bilateral Knee Replacement in 2009 with a Different Orthopedic Surgeon. A year later he got an infection in his left knee. That surgeon said it wasn't an infection, told him to take Tylenol and walk more. Long story short, he lived with that infection until 2015 when a friend recommended Dr BARNETT. Dr Barnett diagnosed the bacteria causing the infection and the next steps toward removing the infected appliance and getting a new knee began. Dr Barnett is so thorough that before he would do the surgery he made sure my husband had no areas where bacteria could easily enter the body. (Wounds on body, cavities in mouth...) Once he had a clean bill of health, the surgery was scheduled. Both surgeries (one to remove and pack area with antibiotic & spacer for 3 months, second surgery to remove spacer and get a new knee) were a hugh success and his knee has been perfect ever since. It was quite the process but Dr Barnett made the end results worth it all. We would highly recommend Dr Barnett!!! He is a no nonsense quality Surgeon, listens to what you have to say and has excellent skills on the operating table!

After doing an extensive research on doctors and the Hoag Orthopedic Institute, I decided to go meet with Dr. Barnett. I liked him from the get-go. Dr. Barnett is a very confident, straight forward surgeon and let me know my situation wasn't going to get better without surgery. I had my hip replaced 5 years ago and I've never looked back. I'm completely pain free to this day and a very active 64 year old. I make a point to refer others who suffer with their hips to him because I believe in Dr. Barnett and the Hoag Orthopedic Institute.

He's as good as orthopedic surgery gets. I am a \typical\ patient -- needed hip replacement, average patient in every way -- walking the day of surgery on. NO PAIN -- ever. Not the day of surgery, nor the day after, nor during my recovery. Very thorough, keeps you informed, checks your progress. With the surgery procedures he and Dr. Gorab perform, you heal quickly and well. Could not be happier with the surgery and Dr. Barnett.
