My husband and I absolutely loved our time dog sledding with White Wilderness! My husband's family actually got into dog sledding when they first met Peter over 20 years ago. At first I was so nervous! Having sledded before, my husband was a natural but after being taught what to do, I felt totally comfortable as well. Peter and his staff are so knowledgeable and you can tell the dogs are well loved. My favorite part was definitely seeing the dogs so excited to get going and giving them treats after our day. I would recommend White Wilderness to everyone interested in trying something new!

I chose White Wilderness based on the reviews and especially the comments about how well the dogs were treated. I went with a friend and we were not disappointed. We each wanted to have our own dog team. After a quick briefing we hit the trails with Theo and 15 Alaskan Huskies. We covered 25 miles before returning to the kennel. It was amazing! The only sound is the dogs running...just their feet hitting the snow. The scenery was beautiful and Theo took good care of us. I was impressed by how well the dogs are cared for. They are all treated as individuals and showered with affection. It was clear they love and expect the attention. The dogs are well trained and also get kudos for taking good care of us. It was a truly great experience.
Peter is very responsive and attentive to customer needs and requirements. His guides are knowledgeable, experienced and nice. I strongly recommend White Wilderness if you want to try what sled running with with dogs is.
Animals doing what they love with a deep bond to their people, that is what you will find here. As a veterinarian for over 30 years I love watching and working for performance animals and their people, dressage horses, agility dogs, service dogs, all the ways animals and their people work together. Do not go if you are expecting a Disney ride or to just rent dogs like equipment. These are well cared for performance animals that take their jobs seriously . You will have professional guides, learn to work with the dogs and travel in beautiful country. This will be a trip you wont forget!!! I chose this kennel because Peter has won several awards while on races from the veterinary teams over the years for best care of the dogs on the trail. Well cared for dogs who love their jobs!!!
The scenery is absolutely stunning & the dogs are very well behaved! Our guide, Greg, was great. I would highly recommend requesting Greg to be your guide, he was able to give us lots of information about the dogs, the local landscape, and was just all around very fun to talk to. The dogs are well taken care of & all of the equipment & sled were in great shape. A suggestion for the company/ owners is to maintain the office area a bit better. I'm sure it's hard to combat smells with so many dogs around, but the smell definitely hits you when you walk in the door to use the bathroom or pay. All around, was a great experience & will recommend to friends! Thank you guys!
We had a wonderful experience with White Wilderness Sled Dog Adventures. They offer a wide variety of trips to suit any need, the staff isn attentive and was always looking out for our safety. We had a great trip with Jarod, saw some beautiful landscape and got to see these amazing dogs in action. We highly recommend it.
My husband, daughter and I did a full day sled dog adventure this weekend. Even with sub-zero temps we had a fabulous time. Our guides, Theo and Eliza, made sure we were suited up properly, gave us detailed instructions, were patient, attentive, and enthusiastic! The trails were beautiful, the dogs amazing, and the sunshine welcome. It was a great day with the perfect mix of challenge, fun and adventure! Would highly recommend White Wilderness to anyone from beginners to experienced mushers.
