V Iking

Picturesque and charming village accessible by car, or preferably, by boat. We enjoyed strolling the streets and looking at the beautiful chalets and flower gardens. There is also a small waterfall just outside the village. Some small but nice restaurants are available, as well as a couple of hotels.

Picturesque village on the southern shore of Lake Brienz. Very neat and charming, like with many Swiss villages is it too beautiful to be true. I was there in winter and everything was closed, but I guess in summer this place must be more lively. Had a refreshing walk along the shore. You can get here by car or by bus from Interlaken (free if you have Interlaken Guest Card, you should get it if you stay in one of the hotels there).

My home, was growing up there. Best way to go by ship. A steam ship is also available. Take it from Interlaken. You can walk from Iseltwald in a easy promenade along the lake board to Giessbach waterfall. A must seen in Switzerland as well. Then take the ship back for Interlaken again. You will like it.

Nice small place, as everything in Switzerland its pretty expensive but for the locales and people that know that place its more easier to find stuff to do. As everywhere like these places there is a ship for sideseeing which dogs right at this place, its a little pricy but what do you expect in Switzerland.
