I have tried cabin-class accommodations in Kyushu and Honshu and then discovered the Blue Cabin In Ishigaki. Judging from the look of the cabin design and have now experienced it, it is an improvement from the standard ones I tried, making my three-night stay here very comfortable. Another difference is that the cabin rate includes buffet breakfast and there’s no doubt that I would stay here again!

This place is right near everything necessary, ferry, gift shops, bars and izakaya, shops and it’s right on the port with a cute cafe with seaside view downstairs. The room are very private and spacy with individual TVs. There a nice spacious public path/toilet system. The ladies gets private jacuzzi rooms which are amazing, I connect my phone on the free WiFi and sat in the jacuzzi it was great and spacious. I think the guys have a public bath which also sounds good. There’s a veranda for guests with seaside view and overall a nice place for a night or two but I wouldn’t stay there any longer. It was a very friendly place kind of felt business trippy.

Very very good place for solo travelers. The beds are very comfortable and the room has electricity, very good AC and table, the rooms are very clean and the shower, toilet and public bath are great. Small cafe is located just outside the hotel with wonderful pastries. Highly recommend

Amazing place, ideal for solo travellers! Blue Cabin is a modern hostel directly located at the port of Ishigaki. Many restaurants and shops are nearby. The hostel also offers a women only floor, which is really convenient. Every guest has its own cabin with a comfortable bed and storage space. There is a shared area with shower cabins, they provide different shampoos and conditioners. The women's floor also had to Jacuzzi rooms which could be used for free upon reservation. Also there was a nice terrace where you could sit in the evening and watch the sun set. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting Ishigaki on a small budget.

A nice place to go anywhere since it's close with the city crowds and bus stop and port. It also has a good breakfast.

Great option for Ishigaki. Located at the port and at central ishigaki. Cabin concept: a small room where only fits the bed a hanging piece of furniture and a small space for luggage. The cabin can be closed for privacy with a hard curtain. Safe drawer inside the cabin. Tv and headsets. Matress is western style and very confortable. Common bath and toilets are very clean. AC wotks great it gets very hot in the island. It can also be controled from the cabin. Washer and dryer machines available in the bath areas. On 1st floor there is Japanese onsen only for men. Men and women are located on separate floors.

Very happy overall with this place. Breakfast buffet was incredible (and included), coffee is surprisingly good (very rare for a buffet style breakfast that the coffee is drinkable let alone good). The rooms are just what I needed for a relaxing sleep, and the restaurant downstairs is immaculate. For the money, this place gets 5 stars from me, which is rare.

The staff at check-in wanted to see my passport. I explained that if you live in Japan, you don't have to show your passport, or even carry it with you. Hotels can't require you show a Residence Card, either. She argued with me for five minutes and finally let me check in, but I shouldn't have to argue to get hotel staff to follow Japan's hotel laws, especially in a place that gets a lot of tourism. Other than that, everything was excellent.
