At 200, it’s much cheaper than other drop-in options in town (and you don’t have to be an Ishigaki resident). It’s spacious and reasonably well equipped with traditional gear. Smith machine, Olympic rack, 2 benches, 2 cable stations and a fairly good assortment of other machines. Place is spacious and open and gear is really rusty but cables run smoothly. Just be prepared to get to your hands/clothes dirty from the rust. 3 treadmills, but one is social distancing now.

This is the main public sports facility. Unfortunately, no indoor pool (yes, swimming in a pool for exercise is better than the beach). There's a gym, now limited to 15 users because of covid. The equipment is a little rusty but usable. Rust comes with the humidity and the salt in the air, so nothing can be done. Unfortunately, I've had the displeasure of dealing with 4 people at the entrance, two of which are obviously not happy about their jobs. THEY should not be there: no smiles, no thank you, no please, all of which are almost the norm in Japan. I'll go back but if their attitude does not change, I guess I'll have to get in touch with city hall to complain (thing that I never do normally).
Sadly they don't speak english .. but I guess if you are not alone it is okay. I asked for table tennis hoping there was maybe a club training there (but I guess there is none?) the Woman in the reception offered me to play alone -.-V
受付の人が無愛想との口コミがありましたが、きちんと教えて下さいました。 1週間前から予約ができる様です。体育館の一部を借りて、卓球、バトミントン、バレーボールができます。 予約時に施設利用料を前払い。卓球の場合の卓球台やネットなどが400円でした。利用当日に一名あたりの利用料を別途払う必要があります。大人は2時間で200円です。あと、体育館なので上履きが必要です。あとコロナの影響で道具の貸し出しはないので、ラケットとボールも必要です。 一番驚いたのは、卓球台の設置を自分でやる必要があります。なので、片付けも含めて10分以上の余裕が必要です。
トレーニング室が大人200円で利用できるが設備は古い。シャワー100円、ロッカー100円。受付スタッフさんはとっても無愛想
設備が古いが施設をきれいに保ってると思う。 受付スタッフさんの対応がすごく上から目線でワンパンいってやろうかと思いました。すいません。
気候が厳しい沖縄特有の作り。 神殿の様な。 風化して味になってます。 地元密着なので子供から大人まで沢山の方々が利用されています。
