What great fun! An easy and inexpensive way to see the neighbor islands. The trip from Ishigaki was convenient, and well organized. Very much enjoyed the tours on the neighbor islands and would recommend especially if traveling with children or seniors. may not have enough adrenaline for active teens :-)

Kabira is a beautiful natural area for which I understand swimming might be forbidden for preservation. However the real reason behind the prohibition of swimming seems to be the windowed boat attractions which have a very high cost. If they really wanted to preserve the area they wouldn't be drifting around with boats every day just for the sake of attraction. If you actually wish to go on the boats, know that they're expensive short trips looking through a rather narrow view on the bottom of the boat.
Beautiful place on a sunny day, they view is gorgeous. Unfortunately the water is not accessible.
Interesting, just a shame they didn't do the tour in English on the time slot we went. Great activity though
