Extremely unfriendly waiter who forced us - without asking - to relocate to another table as he (wrongly) assumed we would not have lunch but \only\ drinks. Drinks and bill were served without a word (beer and wine were OK though). Due to Covid, the only open place left in Istàn but it is to doubt whether it continues to exist based on their approach to guests...

A hideaway and difficult to get to but really worth it. Good food especially the aubergine in honey, Croquettes in mushrooms & the Pork Jaw Stew. Really worth visiting again but with the bike
Lovely little bar in the central Square of this lovely little town. Nice walks and views nearby.
Healthy homemade food. Real tasty and fresh. Troyano Restaurant in Istan is a really nice place to eat. Situated in the plaza de pueblo in the center of istan, with seating inside and outside in the plaza, typically Spanish style through and through. Good sized menu with not too many items and all really great portions. Tried the croquettes with home made mushroom and raisins pate all very tasty. The main plate tried the cariada with oven roast potatoes, a delicious meal. To top of the meal the desserts are all home made , apple pie or cheesecake that are all to die for... Coffee is really good..
Good Spanish bar and restaurant in a lot whitewashed village square. A little English spoken. Very reasonable price, prompt and friendly service. We sat outside, inside a little bare.
