Rustic simple vibe with great music choice. Nice diner style booths. Decent list of cocktails and choice of spirits. I really enjoyed.

Chei Wen, chei wen, say when (like Sean Connery pouring you a drink, I think) is pretty damn good. Keep up the great work team, you run a fine place. Only consideration would be some more craft beers but you are great as you are.

This place is easily the coolest place to chill in Ivanhoe. Fun and knowledgeable staff who just want you to have a good time

My friends and I walked in to Chei Wen for a bday party, and two of us had two almost empty cups of wine. The waitress came to me asking me to finish the drink outside. On my way out, the owner was coming to us, yelling and insulting us, telling us to *** off and move away from his place, justifying his behaviour on the way the place had been impacted by the recent lockdown in Melbourne. I felt absolutely insulted and publicly humiliated for an action that did not seem worthy of such treatment. I will absolutely not come back to this place again and I would not recommend it to any one. The owner is a very rude person, and that is not the way of getting costumers back and recovering from a situation that was stressful for everybody.

Very cool little place for a drink in Ivanhoe, we’re new to the area and enjoyed it thoroughly. Reminded us of a little bar in Bali with lovely staff too

Great bar with excellent staff and plenty of different types of seating for various sized groups. There is also a pool table and awesome background music.

DON'T GO THERE. VERY DISRESPECTFUL. A friend of mine came into the place carrying a glass of wine, the owner acted like crazy, he started shouting and insulting my friend, she ended up crying out there. I don't know what's wrong with the guy but me and my friends will never come back to this place.
