14.50 for a piece of fish the size of my palm... and I have small hands.. Nothing on the menu to say it was ‘gluten free beer batter’ either. Seemed like regular GF batter to me which in this day and age is not expensive. The way the (presumably) owner spoke to the person who served me didn’t come across very nicely either. The chips were good. If you’re genuinely coeliac it’s probably a good option for you. If you’re not, definitely take your business elsewhere.

An absolutely fantastic option for those with celiac disease as almost everything is gluten free! Calamari was amazing - so crispy on the outside with a gluten free bread crumb, whilst the squid would just melt in your mouth. Not one bit greasy too! Chips are crispy and not at all greasy. Fish was fantastic too. Crispy and not greasy. The best part was watching my dad enjoy fish and chips and not have to worry about gluten and actually enjoying the flavours and experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and down for a chat. They made our visit so enjoyable and took care of us, making us feel very welcome in store. We will definitely be visiting again!

Fave fish and chips in Melbourne. And especially as Gluten free. Friendly staff and super fresh quality fish. Coming here regularly for years and never had less than excellent experience. Especially love when they do the old school extra potato cake! It looks like a lot of the negative reviews appear to be for the other Theos Fish and chips in Mernda. Especially because many of them mention a management change, but this Theos in Ivanhoe is still the same management. Would hate to see an amazing business get badly reviewed by mistake.

Disappointing, the sizes of chip servings and tartare sauce have shrunk, and lots of small overcooked chips that didn’t have a crisp freshness. Hopefully just one off night.

A truly wonderful lunchtime experience with the most relaxed & friendly customer service. The fish was cooked perfectly, the chips were hot & crispy and alongside a chickpea & beetroot salad we couldn't have asked for anything more. Absolutely perfect!

Fantastic gluten free menu. Food is slightly too greasy, but taste fantastic!

Usually a 10/10 but I don't know what happened yesterday... The potato cakes were shoved in the same box as the chips... so what was supposed to be a serve of medium chips was actually a small serve. The fried flake was cold and dry... So looks like it was cooked and they reheated it... All the food including the scallops and calamari was jam packed into 2 boxes... A let down after been so excited that my fav fish n Chips was back to normal trading hours. I hope that was only a once off...

2020***The most inconsistent product. Back in 2015 it was great, since management changed it quickly turned to garbage. Got sick of spending 50 on incomplete orders or soggy, oil drenched, or overcooked, or undercooked, or small portions, or inedible potato cakes an inch thick and raw....Don’t believe the hype. Literally 10 disappointing meals in a row over four years, never again. Miss the original owners, was once truely a fantastic business and product.
