It's very fun and immersive! The museum has a really unique design overall that gives you a one of a kind experience. I loved it!

Great aquarium in the Fukushima area. It was affected heavily by the 2011 earthquake so the exhibits aren't as great as they used to be, but the place is still excellent. Minus of course, the whole \animals in captivity\ thing.
It's nice in all seasons. In the summer, there is a lively crowd of families playing at the small tide pools outside and you can buy shaved ice. In the winter, it's less lively but still beautiful. Be aware to dress for the weather and don't go on days that are too hot. There are many parts of the aquarium that do not have air conditioning or heating, so remember your coat in the winter and just plain don't go if it is super hot in the summer. It also gets very busy during holidays. We like it here, the tropical fish and octopus are the best.
Great museum with a lot of educational features. It's colorful and engaging for people of all ages. They had various rare species on display and the enclosures seemed more appropriately sized than most other places in Japan. I could spend several hours here without getting bored. The only things missing were a touch tank and a good-looking deep sea exhibit (both things I was looking for).
This was a very good place. Although the place was under construction while I was there, the aquarium was mesmerizing, they have animals of all kinds even a shiba dog
