Had an eye test with this optician after not having had one for 10 years. I was expecting a reading glasses prescription but was instead correctly diagnosed with csr (fluid behind retina). Good job Kate! Unlike another reviewer i found the service polite and professional.

Excellent, friendly service for my whole family. Great grandparents all the way to young children are treated excellently every time. Would recommend without hesitation.

I didn't even want to give this place 1*.. The service I have received from this optician is appalling. Besides the glasses in store being hugely overpriced, so much so that I have rarely bought my glasses from this optician, the service is very poor. While the receptions may be vaguely polite, my most recent experience with this optician has let them down. At my last appointment, I explained to the optician that I was not happy with the prescription she had given me (which I had also expressed before), but she proceeded to give me exactly the same prescription. So I duly ordered glasses following her advice (from another optician, naturally) and on receiving the glasses, I knew immediately that the prescription wasn't right (I basically couldn't see the car in front's number plate). So I rang the optician and told them my concern, and they claimed that it was not their fault and that I should discuss it with the optician where I had got my glasses. When I asked whether if that optician had made the glasses correctly and there was no issues, whether they would then sort the matter out, he suggested that my prescription had probably changed in the two weeks it had taken me to call them after my appointment, which, frankly, I thought was quite simply, rude. So I went to the optician where I had bought my glasses and he tested my eyes (for free might I add) and found my prescription to be not one, but two prescriptions higher than they had given me and my contact lenses to be one prescription higher AND he changed the lenses in my glasses for free (this was Specs for Less in Cardiff town centre, so if you read this, do go there instead!). So basically, they messed up. Big time.
