I contacted Jacks TV Repair when Sony and Best Buy could not help with my Sony 65 inch x900E. The owner came out to my home to diagnose, charged me 85 for the home visit, and 220 for the part. He ordered the part, and charged me for it upon the order. That was Oct. 6th. He said it would be about 7-10 days on the part, and he would have my TV fixed within a day or two of the part coming in. I figured the part was delayed, so I called and asked for an update about 4 weeks after the initial visit. After calling three times, I got the owner on the phone, and he acted like I was out of line following up. Basically, you will get it when you get it. I followed up again 2 or 3 weeks later couldn't get anyone of the phone, and John/Jack sent me an e-mail saying the parts were just ordered Mid November, which means that is 5 weeks after I ordered, and had already followed up several times. Of course, he said, the order for the part could not be cancelled and I would not be getting a refund. Here we are Dec. 21st. About 11 weeks since I paid for my TV to be fixed within a few weeks, and I have not heard back for another 3 week period, I have called and e-mailed several times. I am not letting this guy work on my TV now, and I am definitely not giving him any more money. I just want the order info and confirmation for the part, so I can look into possibly sending it back, and/or making sure I receive it and Jack's TV Repair does not try to hold on to it. I am not convinced the part was even ordered, this guy may have just taken my money. I don't know what this guy's story is, but I know you should stay away from him. I wish I did.

DO NOT USE JACKS TV. The reviews here are 100% true. I called on Feb 9th and he diagnosed the problem over the phone. "Tv needs a new main board" charged me 160 on the spot. I called every week for 8 weeks and all he did was blame the usps. "Won't issue a refund on special order parts" Still no part or information. I don't think he ever even ordered a part. Only answers the phone half the time. Total rip off. Next step is a complaint wit BBB
Paid to have my tv repaired and it was never done. This businees owner is shady. Dont trust him. This is my public warning. *UPDATE* The owner commented that he would be refunding me 100 for the part that was never purchased for me. I havent received the refund of the 100 he stated he was giving me. Dont do business with Jacks TV Computer & HiFi Repair. The owner will take your money and not provide the service you requested. Even worse he wont refund your money. Read some of the negative reviews.
Jack not returning phone calls or emails. Last appointment to install new power supply board, he was a no show. No call either. No return calls after 3 attempts. Looks like I'm out 334 with no fix. Next steps are BBB complaint and small claims court.
I have Mitsubishi 65” DLP television it’s 10 years old. Every 12-14 months I have to replace the lamp, no big deal. Other than the lamp, I never had a problem. I just replaced the lamp,10 days ago the lamp blew out. After just replacing the lamp I new something was wrong. So I started to look up tv repairs in Cranston. I called 3 repair shops nobody returned my call. Then I started calling more repair shops, finally called JACK’s tv, Jack answered the phone. I explained the problem, he told me he would come to my house next day. The next day he came on time. He took the back of my tv apart. My tv has 3 cooling fans, all 3 fans were loaded with dust, an had to be replaced. He ordered the 3 fans an a new lamp. He called me 3 days later told me would be out next day. He came out replaced 3 fans and lamp. What a great job. Tv runs perfect THANKS JACK.
I had an uncommon CRT monitor, a Commodore 1950, that had lost horizontal synchronization. Finding a place that can service a CRT in New England is hard enough, but I was able to take the monitor to Jack's. The service technician was very knowledgeable and was able to repair the unit quickly. I dropped off the unit Tuesday and it was done by Saturday. Labor and parts were fair for the time taken and the experience he had. He even took care of a leaky capacitor he noticed was going. If you need a repair on older televisions and monitors, and don't want to just throw them away, I'd highly recommend.
This dude literally got evicted from his last location for 1) not paying rent 2) stealing and reselling TVs 3)leaving property filthy 4) living in the retail space I feel sorry for whatever person rented a space to him
Great style.
