Buyer beware!! Horrible customer service. They lied about the transition process when selling a home w gas in the tank. When I called them on it they admitted they gave me wrong information but told me oh well, too bad. So now I'm just out hundreds of dollars. Essentially they are stealing from customers and don't care. I asked the service rep to speak to her manager and she said \we don't do that\. I asked for his name and she refused to tell me. What kinda business operates like that? I was on hold for over an hour. Stay away from Amerigas!!

The 1 star reviews are real. First, they will lie to you if you ask them if they own the tank. Just bought a house but no one disclosed if I owned the tank or not but Amerigas said they did. Their technician told me they did not. Secondly, be sure to have around 500 bucks in your account for at least 30 days because they will charge you without notifying you. No mail, no email, no call or text. I just logged in and they charged my account. Would have been nice to now. No receipt either.

Worst experience I've ever had with a service company in any industry. Missed deliveries, zero communication, customer service reps who are powerless to do anything to help, no way to contact local delivery personnel. I cancelled our service this morning and went with a local company which has been around for many years. Amerigas was acquired by UGI a couple of years ago with the stated purpose of improving their cash flow with Amerigas revenues. Apparently, they are trying to milk every dollar they can from the business with no regard to customer satisfaction. Their brilliant management team came out with Amerigas 2.0 which eliminated local offices and went to national call and dispatch support. Reading the employee comments on Indeed is very informative. If you have Amerigas, don't get mad at the employees--this is a management failure, plain and simple. The executive team should be sacked. Maybe a class action suit is in order for gross negligence.

I am an existing customer. I tried calling to add an additional 500 gal tank on the property. Amerigas has made structural changes according to their customer service rep. You cannot reach a local office. All phone lines now roll to a national line where you wait 30 min or more on hold to talk to a rep who then has to look up your account and then have someone call you back. TERRIBLE customer service!!!!! I believe I will switch to Kamps!

Stay away. Terrible service, routine 30 minute hold times at their national call center, and they have left me without propane multiple times in the 3 years we've been using them...despite being on their automatic delivery program.
