I have to give credit to the nursing staff through Elara during my mother's hospice care with them for 6 months. However, even though the medical staff was wonderful and caring at all times, company policies were not followed in regards to no personal cell phone use in a clients home, this happened by staff more than once. The communication mishaps are too numerous to mention. The final insult from this organization was when my mother had passed, it took over 2 hours with family waiting for a nurse to come when 2 calls were made to Elara and then the nurse was never made aware of her passing and was hit with a bombshell when she entered the door. Not to mention the traumatic experience for family that had gathered during her passing. I sincerely hope no other family experiences this. Thank you

I'd like to say thank you to the hospice team out of Jackson, MI. Chelsea, Candice, everyone..... You helped make a very difficult time more bearable. You were compassionate comforting, flexible, and when it came to the end for my father, you were there in an unwavering fashion. It takes a special person to do this type of work and Elara has a whole team of these special people. From the bottom of my heart, my brothers heart and my mom's. It's all about the . Stopped my mother-in-law's care because they didn't want to do wound care more than once/week. Nurse, OT and PT were all very kind and competent, but management of the company is awful.
I cannot say enough positive things about this company. The 10 days they cared for my husband prior to his passing was phenomenal. I only wish there was a support group for me now. I don’t have anyone here now and it’s been really hard on me. I don’t have family here. It’s been 8 months and I’m still having meltdowns. My sleep pattern is all kinds of a mess. I truly think I need to get out of this house. When I go places, I have fun and laugh and then I come home to this lonely empty house Too many memories here and I think it’s keeping me from moving forward. My dogs even know when I’m sad because they cling to me for comfort Thank you for everything Eowyn Boyd I’m so grateful that you were here with me the night he left on his journey.. You are such a kind and compassionate nurse and so easy to talk to. Thank you once again️
