My trip was the OARS 5-day Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park Expedition. If you are looking for a trip to take you to all the popular sights and to see the hidden wonders this is the group to be with! I'm 22 and went on the trip solo, but the guides and the other customers made me feel right at home. If you want to go on your own adventure but don't want to do all the hard work (cooking, cleaning, equipment, etc.) this is the way to go. Now this trip isn't for someone who is looking for glamping we put up our own tent and paddled our way around Jackson Lake, but other than that and a fire line to get the equipment unloaded everyday everything else was done for us. I definitely don't eat three delicious meals a day like I did on this trip! Also it's worth noting the first two nights are at an actual campsite, so you still have running water. The only disadvantage of our two days in Yellowstone were that we spent a lot of time in the Van driving from place to place. However, if you were to travel Yellowstone by yourself I imagine you would spend even more time in your car. Our guides would drop us off and then one of them would go park the van. They also knew their way around so we never wasted time getting lost. The last two nights (my favorite) are spent on Jackson Lake which is primitive camping but wonderfully secluded. I highly recommend the guides we were with, the equipment/food, and the trip itinerary. It was definitely worth the money, I plan on going on many more OARS trips!

One of your guys showed his hate for either tourists or women when he deliberately kept driving in the gravel, trying to wreck my windshield this morning from Jackson north along the snake towing a trailer with 2 rafts visible from behind. Yeah... "great" company. He stopped driving in that path after I passed him, and kept his distance after honking like a little victim when I showed I have more guts than him.
We took a kayaking trip with O.A.R.S. August of 2018 and it was excellent. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly, and offered excellent insight and information about the park. Safety was also obviously important, and they took the time to make sure even the novice kayakers amongst us had a safe and enjoyable time. I would certainly recommend them.
The 5-day Yellowstone and Grand Teton tour was FANTASTIC. Amazing guides (Christina, Chase and Blake) who were great fun, amazing cooks, had superb knowledge and were just the best. The sites and vistas were amazing. The itinerary was just right, with a great combination of riding in a van, kayaking, hiking, swimming and relaxing. Highly recommend this company, the guides and this trip.
We are spending eight weeks traveling the western US by car this summer and chose to do the Six Day Yellowstone-Grand Teton Explorer trip with OARS as our way to visit those two national parks. This is the way to explore the Grand Tetons as you get access to areas of the backcountry and an upscale camping experience that no other guide company can offer and that we certainly couldn't replicate ourselves. We will always remember this trip and look forward to doing more OARS trips in the future. Blake, Katie, and Miles were phenomenal guides who put our well-being and enjoyment above all else. They were especially good with our kids, which was a perk we didn't expect. They also clearly loved their job and thought highly of OARS as their employer. As a consumer, I want to spend my money with companies that have high employee satisfaction. The trips aren't cheap, but definitely worth every dollar based on our experience.
We took the 3 day Grand Teton tour. It was amazing. Our guides (Carlos, Logan, and Christina) were great and very knowledgable of the area. The food they prepared was beyond what was expected. We already plan on using their services again. Nightly social circles around the campfire in this beautiful and pristine setting will not soon be forgotten. This guide service will be recommended to anyone and everyone.
I feel out of the raft, and hit my face on a rock, leaving permeantly disfigured
Great picture opportunity.
