Free to park, walk the trails, and visit the sites. First 1/2 mile is wheelchair accessible and has a disabled parking spot with ramp. There are maps at most trail intersections, but still possible to get lost for half an hour or so...

Nice historical site. Not much for younger kids to do but museum is nice to see artifacts. Trails are nice but bring bug spray. If you like hiking could make a whole day.

Amazing Museum and fantastic Earthworks. This park is full of Flora and Fauna, so bring water insect repellent and sunscreen. The park is somewhat remote but there are great trails and everything is in pristine condition. The state of Louisiana has suffered from extreme budget shortfall so there's only one park ranger which means you are kind of on your own although the one park ranger is a fantastic individual doing an amazing job by himself he cannot be everywhere all the time. I hope the state of Louisiana funds this park a little better.

A very well run and beautiful museum. Glad to know it's still around to share history with our community and visitors.

This is a cool an unique part of American history; home to the longest siege in US military history, Port Hudson played a notable part in the civil war. The park is quiet and small but the history and beautiful forests make it an excellent place for a quick hiking or walking tour. Sadly, do to restricted budgets the park is short staffed though.

This spot had a personal significance for me, a member of my family had fought here. It was great to see the layout of the battle area and see the artifacts from the time period.

Love going here for small hikes. 4.00 entry fee and lots of nature and history through the park.
