Snake River Brewing gets pretty decent reviews, but it just wasn’t hitting for us. When we pulled up, there’s a large, outdoor space with a bunch of seating, green space, etc. - it looks super fun actually! It was raining and cold the day we were there so we sat inside which was fine by us. Cozied up at a table right next to the fireplace and that’s where their 3 stars are coming from. Fire was great, however, there were a bunch of flies near our table and upon further inspection, all around the fireplace, windows, etc. was dirty; spiderwebs, dust & dirt. I know this is a brewery therefore you’ll have the smell of beer throughout, but the smell was like stale beer that had been sitting for a while - just not appealing. The food: Apparently they’re known for their chili and it’s won awards - it’s a beef/bison chili - it was good, but not great. The chili on its own that is - with all of the toppings, this helped elevate the flavors a bit. Overall, I’d rate the chili a 7. The beer: I opted for their sour - again, good but not anything to write home about. Would give that a 6.5. The service: Was average - I’d give it a 7. The COVID: Staff wears masks and gloves - hand sanitizer can be found throughout, so they’re doing what they should be doing in that respect. An 8. The overall: A good place to grab a couple of beers and hang with friends - they also have plenty of TV’s if you want to catch a game. The cleanliness is really what made this review a 3 - if it weren’t for that, would have probably rated it a 4, but nothing was outstanding and nothing was horrible.

We were skeptical reading reviews online but once we checked it out and ordered from menu found the chili is award winning and buffalo wings well done l!!! The pretzel and queso also a must! We would come back. Beer is great and will hopefully be able to buy back home.

We were in the Jackson area for 4 days and we went here twice - once for lunch and once for dinner. For lunch we were seated immediately and for dinner we waited maybe 15-20 mins, so not bad at all. I ordered the Sour Panda on our first day and really liked it so I got it again when we went back. My husband got the Nitro Speargun Stout for our first visit and liked it, then tried a cider for the second visit and also liked that. The bison burger is very good, the smoked ketchup has great flavor. Go for the sweet potato fries over the regular fries, they’re crispier and more flavorful. Their pretzel is THE BEST pretzel we’ve ever had, and we order pretzels whenever they’re on the menu. The chili was also good - the added jalapeños give it a good kick, but it had good flavor overall. I ordered a cup of the chili with the Cobb salad, and the salad was HUGE. It didn’t have a half-sized option like all the other salads for some reason. But it was good. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the waitstaff is only ok. Not particularly friendly or attentive. The hostess was extremely nice, but both servers we had were very flat and didn’t check on us often or offer to refill our drinks. And the waitress we had for our dinner visit completely neglected us for 20 minutes after I asked for another moment to look at the menu. I would definitely go back for the beer and food, but I know better than to expect good service now.

Pros: atmosphere, hosting staff is attentive, food comes out quick. Cons: for the price, the food was not worth it. We had a smoke trout dip appetizer (this was great), steak, pan fried trout, and an elk burger. Portions were plentiful but my burger and my daughter’s vegetables with her steak were nearly too salty to eat. My husband liked his trout, though. Overall, the place has a neat vibe but for the price, the food just didn’t cut it. Our server was friendly but didn’t refill our glasses the entire meal and when our food came out, the runner accidentally dropped food into my lap bc he was rushing to get everything down on the table—which seemed to be a product of management seemingly not having ow enough food runners present. He apologized and quickly replaced the items dropped but that said, waiting service overall wasn’t up to par for the price either (we spent well over 100 for 3 people). Aside from the steak, nothing we ordered or experienced felt worth spending that much to eat here.

Great COVID precautious in place here! Plenty of outdoor seating available. We were seated in about 20 min after putting our name in for lunch. They have rotating beers in addition to what they always have on the menu and staff is knowledgeable about the selection! Highly recommend the pizzas, they are creative and delicious!

Try the beer flight! So fun and I was so impressed by the quality of the beer. The horchata creamy ale and sour was my favorite. Food was decent. My husband liked the wings and then we had salads and fried cauliflower bites which were all average. Staff was hit or miss with friendliness. But, we were ultimately there for the beer which was definitely a hit

Once we got in, the service, ambiance, and beer was excellent. Pleasant patio with umbrellas, good shade, and nice views. Trout dip was tasty. Our experience was ruined by the wait. The greeter had a list that was so disorganized that we were overlooked and waited on the sidewalk for an hour when there were open tables. I heard him blame the wait several times on it being “shift change,” but it really soured our experience.

Wish we could have gone back. The food was absolutely delicious. Not expecting to have some of our best meals at a brewery. I get fish and chips everywhere we travel. This was hands down my favorite fish and chips.
