This past fall I lost a small garnet in one of my rings. I wear a stack of four tulip rings, each one set with one of my kids' birthstones. I also must add that I never take my rings off - cooking, cleaning, gardening, even DIY home projects they never leave my fingers, so my rings take a beating! Anyway, I procrastinated for three months with a missing stone bc I never take them off but it was time to get it fixed. Leah repaired the ring, checked the stones on the others in the set and had my ring back on my finger in a week. She did a great job and was very fairly priced. I will be back soon - as I have discovered another piece of jewelry I have needs a repair. BTW - If you like unique pieces, especially antique jewelry, you have to go to Miriam's!

There's always something interesting for a range of budgets, as well (whether vintage, made by Leah, or made by jewelers that she can tell you about). It's a lovely small, unpretentious but really nice jewelry store within blocks of the ocean

Leah at Miriam's was so incredibly helpful. I brought in the diamond that belonged to my fiancé's grandmother and Leah helped me pick the perfect setting. She was able to match my extremely high level of excitement during every step of the process and gave huge approval of the engagement idea, and obviously the girl! They were professional, accommodating and the only place to shop for the jewelry!

Update: I gave Miriam’s another chance, and they were very gracious. I think inthe future they will put a sign on their door, should something arise causing them to close early. They are a family-owned small business whom we should support in our community. My jewelry repair was promptly and professionally completed as well. I very glad I went back to give them another try.
