We started guitar lessons for my young son at the beginning of this year and the experience has been nothing but positive. Chris was able to connect and help to develop his skills at a rapid pace. He organizes practice schedules and encourages his development through motivation. Chris has a wide array of tips and tricks to help the novice learner stay focused and interested.

Chris is an awesome teacher. Talented, funny, an active listener, really attentive to the progress of his students. His group sessions are steeped in philosophy and humor, but chock full of pertinent information. The private lessons are well paced and always to the point. A teacher.

We are receiving a level of instruction which is usually only found in larger cities right here in Jamestown. Chris provides students with goal oriented instruction which creates results. I highly recommend GLJ to anyone who is seeking an authentic program which will better their guitar skills.
Chris has a genuine care for his students. He doesn’t use a cookie cutter method, but tailors the program to each student’s goals and abilities.

Christopher Cotter is a very good instructor and does not just teach you how to play a song, he teaches music theory and techniques so you can apply those to making music you will get out of his classes what you put in if you don’t practice you will never learn to play guitar I’ve been under his instruction now for almost 2 years and would recommend him to anyone. music is life enjoy the journey.
