Absolutely awful firm to deal with. On 6 separate occasions they got key pieces of information wrong whilst dealing with my house purchase, to the point I had to change solicitors mid way through my house purchase. Their excuse? “We’re busy at the moment.” Incredible. They got my House address wrong, my name, the amount of the purchase 3 TIMES. Including being rude to my partner when she went into the Cottingham office AFTER specifically telling her on the phone to do so, they then turned around and said “you’re not really suppose to come in the office” and tried to shun her away. This is the first time I have ever written a review for anything and honestly I can’t stress enough how bad they made my house purchase, so many small details I can’t be bothered to go into. They were recommend by Whittaker’s estate agents and the small print reads they get 110 as a fee so my advice is HIRE SOMEBODY ELSE. Plenty of other competent solicitors in the Hull and East Riding area.

After having bad experiences from two other solicitor firms in the past I wanted to try another firm that while local also offered a fair quote too. As this was a COMMERCIAL matter it was Paul Harrison that dealt with it and his assistant. The communication and updates were great and the speed backed by efficiency was impressive, all unlike nothing I have experienced in the past. I am happy that I have found a good company to re-use and that also charged at the end exactly what they quoted for at the beginning! I therefor would have no hesitation in recommending them to others and would urge anyone that may get quoted slightly less by anyone else to think about true value for money versus a firm that could act in the opposite manor which would end up costing more in the long run through mistakes, delays or creeping costs during the process.
