It's hugely historically important and tucked away just outside Jarrow. (So they say anyway ). It's lovely little church and a friendly volunteer will tell you all about it's history if you go on the right day.

This is one of the 2 most historic churches in England, the other being St Peters in Sunderland. St Cuthbert founded these churches and the ancient ruins still stand today. St Paul's had a monastery. St Cuthberts remains are buried in Durham Cathedral, which is yet another of the very early churches. We were fortunate enough to attend the Good Friday service in St Paul's.
Church is lovely and friendly. I'd give Jarrow Hall a miss though.
Beautiful church. Very friendly lovely place
Discover some ancient history. Dates back to the 7th century. The church is intact with the monastery ruins adjoining it.
The monastery is well preserved and well worth a visit
The church is located near the Jarrow hall set back from the main road. In its own grounds children and dogs are welcome. A beautiful old church.
Well looked after and nice for a quiet time.
