If you can find a spot, this campground offers amazing proximity to a beautiful Riverside. Don't be afraid of the Walk-In sites, they're more secluded than the others. Cleanest outhouses in Alberta. We snagged site D6 and I firmly believe it's the best one in the park!

We were in the snaring overflow. For last minute, it was great! Views are awesome. Watched the sunset shadows cover the mountain. Woke up to elk in the yard when we got up. * WARNING * HIGH WINDS!! Seriously! Had to bring the slide out in for the night as it would have ripped the slide awning off!! Shook the trailer pretty good even with 5 point stabilizers.

Nice, clean camp with tidy pit toilets and free wood. Decent sites— some definitely more private than others. Negatives: Very noisy with passing trains all night and highway sounds. Also had one trailer that left a generator running for two full days starting at 530am and up to 11pm...against posted generator hours...so bring ear plugs.

Good sized sites. Tend pads are a good size and in good condition. Not all sites have good privacy from neighboring sites. Free firewood, although it is not under shelter and gets wet when it rains. Potable water is available. Bathrooms (pit toilets) are clean and well stocked. Sites fill up fast! No cell service at the campground, but plenty of birds and squirrels to keep you entertained. There are several paths down to the Snaring river which is a beautiful place to sit.

Self registration is quick and rate was 15.70. I didn't stay here as it was full so I stayed in the adjacent campground which is the overflow. Make sure to walk over to admire the Snaring River.

I camped with friends in here and it is great for a night. Lots of wood but no shade for the wood. It can get wet when raining. Toilets are clean. The river is just around the corner. There is a drinking tapwater onsite.

Like any other National Park campground it is well maintained, patrolled, and expensive. That being said, it is a beautiful spot. There are really no campgrounds in Jasper National Park that aren't beautiful spots.

It should be noted that there are actually 2 lots for Snaring - the main loop, and the overflow. The main loop has fire pits, well treed sites, and cook shelters. There's also a few sites right along the Snaring river. It is mainly intended for tenting, but you can fit smaller trailers in there. It's all first come first served, and self registration. Take a drive through here and if there's nothing available, go to the overflow down the road. The overflow had an attendant when we went, but I think depending on the time of year it may be self registration. There's a ton of RV/trailer sites, and a small loop for tenting. The RV/trailer sites are basically just a huge open gravel pit, so don't expect any privacy. The views are fantastic though. There's a few sites for walk-in tenting as well that even more private than the main drive-up tenting sites. I believe all the sites have their own picnic table. Tenting sites are all gravel pads, so it's a little tougher to drive stakes into and not so kind to tent floors. My 6 person tent fit perfectly though, along with a minivan. Note that there are no fires allowed anywhere in the overflow! Both the main campground and overflow have pit toilets and sinks for washing, but no running water. Potable water is available for filling bottles only (not for filling RVs/trailers). The fee is very cheap at both (I think 15 a night) and it's a good last resort if you didn't make reservations, but don't expect much beyond a place to pitch a tent or park your RV/trailer.
