One of the most sincere doctors I've ever come across. This doctor does not treat you as if you were an addict to pain pills. No, he takes the time and evaluate you and listens to you as well. Thank you Dr. Olsson. -- Joshua D.

I have a very real kind of pain that is unfortunately very hard to describe. Because my disease carries with it a higher degree of oxidative stress, I have always been told it's just really strong inflammation. Florida has kind of a reputation as being a "pill mill," and so there's a necessary element of skepticism with new patients, but still a very real need to treat them, despite all of the abuse that's out there. I don't have life-mangling pain, like, say, chemo or someone whose back shattered, but for what I am used to, it can be pretty bad, and definitely affects my ability to think and perform in daily life. I was recommended to Dr. Olsson as a professional who is an exceptional listener, and who likes to make conservative choices. If you can get away with not having to do anything hard-hitting, so much the better. My illness especially is a concern, because it affects the lungs. Jumping to narcotics seemed like a bad idea, with side effects of respiratory depression, and they have their own issues of pushing and pulling, tolerance, etc. Right out of the gate, I got a full evaluation where I got to air out every last detail of what it's like to feel this way, a physical exam, appointments for scans and for physical therapy. It was very comprehensive and reassuring. On top of that, he gave me a checklist for eating better foods more consistently, and while some of it was obvious (don't gorge yourself on refined processed foods like pretzels) some of it wasn't, at least not to me. The food changes all on its own took a few months to kick habit-wise, but just that bit of education took me down about 20-30%. I was lucky to have him when I was able to see him, because he seemed to take each case individually, seriously, and trust with a doctor on this particular subject can be hard to find for some, especially for the folks worse than me with really severe issues.

Wow, I am so thankful my husband found such an amazing and compassionate Doctor and office! The staff there are so kind, as well as Dr. Olsson! He takes his time when evaluating you, he is extremely knowledgeable plus he has helped my husband and I to understand each and every detail for his treatment plan as well. I feel soo blessed to have such a wonderful Doctor who truly cares about the well being of my husband. I recommended this office highly!

He's a nice doctor but unfortunately I have been seeing the pa who's a nice guy but I would like to see the dr. at least twice a year. The staff is friendly though always busy. They do tend to run late so bring a book or video game. It's true the office isn't very clean but then a lot of the people going there aren't that clean either. A lot of the patients going there are smokers who stink, so that's why it always looks and smells bad.

The staff is kind and knowledgable. Dr. Olsson is by far one of the smartest doctors I know. He stays current on medications available, the proper uses and possible interactions. When he says no he has a reason.

The staff is always nice and friendly. Some more than others. Jay Olsson is not like most Dr. He cares about his patients and goes above and beyond.
