Had a trip to Hairstanes with my grandchildren. Saw the huge sign for the dairy,and all the great stuff they had for us to purchase. Told the kids when they had finished playing in the play park, and we had been a walk, we would get an ice cream. We did all of the above and the kids were looking forward to their ice cream. We walked up to the shop where a young lady was outside talking to a customer and we joined the que. This chat went on for about 5 minutes and people were socially distanced waiting to join the que. The people in front of us went to get served and the young lady who was having a chat told them it's online orders only, about turned and went back into the shop. You can imagine the disappointment and confusion of my grandchildren when we explained that they couldn't get an ice cream. I wanted a coffee my wife wanted a tea. Are they online orders also? The young lady certainly didn't hang around for us to ask. Shocking behaviour Nowhere on the sign does it say online orders only. It certainly says it on a sign on the door, but nowhere else which I find incredible. Never been here before. Will certainly be back to the play park. But back to Mary's Diary? probably not.
