This is a very popular place next to the river Saale in the middle of Jena's paradise park. The place could be crowded and the bar service a bit slow but it is manageable. Bring good company, spend 25 min. getting your drink and enjoy the view.
Chill out music, very nice when sunny weather. There is self service and you can just sit outside. I think it's only open by nice weather.
