Now open as "Crave." Went there to try the absinthe and the tea. Food was great. The service, however was outstanding. Our server, Dennis, was knowledgeable, professional and very personable. By the way, we had the Albright blend of tea. Very good. This tea/absinthe house adds a lot to Jim Thorpe.

The food was great...it end there. This was by far the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my life! My wife even flagged down the owner who was outside with a TV crew. When he came inside, he told us, "Pancakes take a long time." No apology, no I'll go see what's going on, nothing. There were a total of five patrons when we walked in, and four more while we were sitting down. Later, they tried to tell us it was the waitress's fault for putting in three orders at once. Again, those three orders consisted of seven breakfast meals. Whoa, they were swamped! It took over 45 minutes to get a children's pancake, two chocolate chip pancakes (which showed up as regular pancakes), and two scrambled eggs, sausage link, toast, and bacon (English Breakfast). It was sort of funny by the end because we were all laughing at how messed up the service, food, and just the whole place was. No one seemed like they knew if they were coming or going including the owner. Then at the end the waitress brought the same wrong check to all all three tables before she found who it belonged too. It was sort of funny because she would put it down and then someone would call her back, "ma'am this isn't our check." She then brought it to our table and again, "ma'am this isn't our check" and finally to the only other people eating...she found who the check belonged to! So funny because it had exactly what the meals were right on it...all she had to is look at it. She dropped stuff several times, brought the wrong food to people, took forever, etc. It was just unreal. And of course the owner didn't seem to care one bit, he just blamed everyone around him with no hint he had any intention of doing anything to fix it.
