Mi Bodega store is about 1/2 to 1/3 the size of Walmart it is full of the same types of items as far as toys, paper & markers... also mopeds and motorcycles are for sale outside. Inside they sell a variety of essential foods from milk, cheese, eggs, ice cream to a variety of liquors & candys. Also it was very clean the day that I was there... the employees are very pleasant and helpful as well.

Recently renovated, cleaner, front end staff friendly. Majority of produce needs tossing daily but sits all week. Usually a long wait at cash, no one hops in to open a til. Parking can be challenging.
A little Walmart in Joco. mi Bodega Aurrera is owned by Walmart. It is still distinctive, but both stores carry the house brands (Aurrera and Great Value). In Joco, it is my go to for many paper products, packaged products, milk, dairy products. I would go to the mercado in Central Joco 6 blocks west on same street for produce and meats.
A great place to shop for Expats and locals alike living in the San Juan Cosala and Chantepec area. It's like a mini Wal-Mart where you will find fresh fruits, vegetables, groceries, home appliances, TVs and a little of everything. Saved me a lot of money and gas by not having to travel to Ajijic or Chapala.
This is a chain owned by Walmart it's very typical of Mexican grocery stores only one suggestion if you buy chicken cook at the same day because it is displayed without Packaging. I never got sick but that was the advice that I was given buy it the same day take it home wash it and cook it right then and there. Also Gringo's might not know that eggs do not require refrigeration in Mexico because of the way they handle the eggs salmonella is not an issue in Mexico
