Doctors requested to be here 7am in green block section 456. At 9:26 am, not even 1 patient was seen yet. Patients sitting here from 6:30am and have not been seem yet. Looks like a don't care attitude. Pathetic as these patients are poor but shouldnt be treated like dirt

My mom was refered to JHB Gen by Thambo Memorial as she had been diagnosed with stage 3 endometrial cancer. On June 11th she was advised she would be going under radiation and then chemo to treat her. The doctor advised she would get her radiation dates by the next week from the bookings department. She passed away in July. Today the 16th of September I get a call that she must be there on Wednesday the 23rd of September for her first radiation treatment. I'm sorry this is disgusting service. After telling a dying woman she would need to wait a week for treatment it ended up being nearly 3 months and in the interim she had passed away. I'm appalled by the oncology and radiation centre as well as the mortuary at the hospital.
