07/10/2020. Unreliable stock levels or front desk sales have no idea whats in stock is available. 08/10/2020 . Just in response to your response . i know all about covid a supply issues . as i am inn the machine manufacturing industry . this was not the issue . the issue is that i phoned on the 06/10/2020 to ask if there is 38 x 114 x 4800 i was told no !!! so i make an alternative plan an purchased 38 x 114 x 5400 at another supplier on 07/10/2020 and phoned GNT to confirm they have 38 x114 x 4200 in stock . I am told " we have plenty " then I arrive at GNT 2 hours later and I am told there is no 4200 only 4800 then I need to fork out extra because your sale staff is incompetent and/or your stock system is not working . We can all blame covid for some issues but others are internal .

I have been dealing with them for eight years. Last month they supplied me with flooring that was out of spec. My installers fitted it but we had to pull it all up and replace all of it (at my own cost), they refused to replace it I had to buy more. With labour, materials and lost production I lost a total of R 87 940.00. I wrote to them and after several weeks of trying to get answers I asked for a meeting with the MD. I was referred to the senior executive a Mr.Don Hairs. I called him and the phone call lasted no more than a couple of minutes during which he alluded to what a nuisance I had been and that there was no point in me seeing him as he wasn't going to do anything about it. Very unhappy to be treated like this by these arrogant people who think they can push their own clients around. An embarrassment to the already poor culture of service in this country. They will get no more of my money and I urge any other prospective client to carefully consider their options when dealing with this company. If you cannot treat your customers with fairness and respect, then you do not deserve to have them. I will be taking this further.
