We spent a few hours walking here and picnic with the family. Kids loved exploring. We could have spent longer. This is a very special place with mature tree planting. Free admission. The staff we talked to were very friendly and helpful. Cafe is closed but there is an ice cream van selling tea/coffee.

We visited here recently and had a lovely time. On arrival we enquired about a tour and Gerry was on hand to guide us through an amazing wealth of information about the history of the trees and the celebrities who have visited. What a beautiful place with so much work going on to conserve trees from around the world and maintaining this wonderful amenity. And it was all free.

Lovely walking trails and a lake .There was a large verity of trees. that I have not seen in Ireland before. The centre was not open as work was been done on its roof. There were plenty of young childern taking part in summer camps. Parked in the play area was an Ice cream van doing brisk business. Well worth a visit with the family and the pet. Gerry

I'm generally not into walking around gardens but this one takes some beating. All staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. There is ample free parking. There are a number of walks available of differing lenghts depending on what you're able for, each taking in different tree selections. A lovely peaceful healthy walk. Highly recommended

This is a very nice space for an outdoor walk especially with kids. It is big garden with trees, plants and flowers. The arboretum is also equipped with a children playground and picnic area.

Even during COVID this place is open and it’s a lovely walk. It’s free too at the moment which is a bonus. Some of the smaller pathways are closed and it feels slightly less glossy than previous visits during the normal hussle and bussle but still well worth a visit
