I attended the MRI department yesterday evening ( 10/02/2018). The reception, facilities and technicians etc were all excellent. I was seen promptly and the whole process was pain free. However, upon leaving the unit by the door to car park one, the pathway was poorly lit and a parked taxi was blocking almost all of the pathway right up to the door. Whilst trying to pass between the taxi and a metal barrier arrangement, I failed to see, in the dark, that the barrier was held up by protruding breeze blocks at ground level. I tripped on a block and fell quite heavily between the barrier and the taxi. The taxi driver couldn't even be bothered to wind down his window and see if I was alright. Fortunately I was and I made my way back to my car. The area in front of the door should be strictly no parking, at least until the barriers and supporting blocks are removed. The area should be better lit.

A great hospital with patient friendly staff and loads of facilities but it’s a struggle to find the car park space when you need it. However, if you have an early appointment staring at 8:40 am you have a better chance of finding a place. Also, the car park charge of 1:40 per hour is a bit steep.

A fabulous hospital with amazing staff who dedicate themselves to helping everyone. Recently they helped me when I was quite unwell.. The ambulance crew were fantastic. I can't thank them enough.

I went to A&E due to a visual loss in one eye. I'm disabled wheelchair bound, with autoimmune renal disease, diabetes, angina, svt, AF, chronic bronchitis, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, DDD, and epilepsy. During overnight stay on MAU, I passed out during the night and morning, the nurses and Doctors were all fantastic, I was moved temporarily to Resus, then back the MAU. I was reviewed by the cardiology Doctor, and Eye Team. Excellent care and treatment ️ thank you for your help.
