The owners of the Gasthof Pension Ödsteinblick deserve every single start of this rating - and I rarely give 5 stars. Everything is perfect (I'm still staying there while writing this review): the kindness of the manager and the staff, the stunning location with mountain view, the quietness of the surroundings, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the FANTASTIC quality of the food (if you like fish, you must order the Geraucherte Forelle - smocked trout - they are fresh from their own fish tank, and are smocked on demand! their breakfast is absolutely delicious: all fresh and more than you can eat). Last but not least, the Gasthof is located 5 minute away on foot from the beginning of the itinerary to the Hesshütte. All in all, a place I warmly recommend to any traveler. We will return.

This place is more than a pension, they also have a grate restaurant. I head one of the best food here I had for a long time. If you come, you must try the "Bergsteigerpfandl". Place has a spectacular view and grate service.

Nice and cosy Gasthaus in the mountains
Leider überhaupt keine gute Erfahrung. Das Zimmer hat kein Warmwasser gehabt und der Gasthof-Verantwortlich hat nicht einmal versucht eine Lösung zu finden. Wir mussten unsere Unterkunft abbrechen und der Gasthof vorzeitig verlassen.
Die Bewertung als "Unfreundliches Personal" kann ich nicht nachvollziehen, der Wirt war zu uns sehr freundlich, das Essen sehr gut und die Zimmer waren für eine Pension auch OK. Wlan umsonst und ohne Passwort. Wir waren 5 Tage hier und wären gerne noch länger geblieben.
Schöner Gasthof mit gutem Essen. Sehr freundlicher Wirt :) Tw. etwas vernachlässigte Einrichtung.
Ehrliche, hausgemachte Küche. Kräuter werden frisch aus dem Kräutergarten vorm Haus geholt. Besonders empfehlenswert ist die frisch geräucherte Forelle aus dem hauseigenen Fischteich.
